GETTING TARTUFFIFIED

Melanie is in rehearsal right now for Moliere’s Tartuffe, opening March 9 at North Coast Rep in Solana Beach. The production runs through March 31 then transfers to the Laguna Playhouse from April 7-May 5. This smart, satirical play, written in the late 17th century for Louis XIV is as relevant today as it was then. Melanie is having a ball as Elmire, the wife of a man who has upended his household since falling under the spell of the seemingly-religious-but-actually-a-total-fraud Tartuffe. Melanie is reunited with actors from LA and San Diego she’s had the treat of working with before, and so far this one is going down as one of her favorite roles yet.
